Sakari Sanders
Chief Curator
Sakari Sanders, Chief Curator and Founder of Curated for Artist, blends over 24 years of art studies with a passion cultivated in a globally influenced home. A Spelman College '13 Art Historian, Sakari's journey includes an internship at Fay Gold Gallery, founding an interior design firm, and becoming an international art buyer. After a successful stint in the design world, Sakari reentered the gallery scene as a guest curator for Atlanta’s Hidden Gallery, producing "The Awakening" in 2020. In 2023, Sakari took on the role of Chief Curator at Koncept House, showcasing diverse artists in a majority woman and minority-owned co-working space.
SeQuoia Johnson

SeQuoia Johnson is an accomplished art historian and curator based in Atlanta, Georgia. She is also a curator for Curated for Artists and co-founder of the Gold Studio for Artists in Atlanta. She attended Spelman College, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Art History in 2013. With a passion for the arts, SeQuoia went on to gain valuable experience at some of the most prestigious museums in the country. She has created programs and projects for families and children at the High Museum of Atlanta and the Spelman Museum of Fine art, and assisted with school and teacher programs at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
SeQuoia joined the High Museum Family Programs department to organize and curate programs for families and children around exhibitions, including "Imagining New World" by José Parlá and Fahamu Pecou "Gordon Parks: Segregation Story" and "Utah Sky 2065-40 Installation" by Michael Lin. Her contributions to these exhibits demonstrated her expertise in contemporary art and her dedication to showcasing diverse perspectives.
SeQuoia recently joined the Koncept House and Curated for Artists, where she continues to advance her career as a curator. She is instrumental in bringing attention to underrepresented artists and artworks in the community. With her extensive knowledge of art history and her commitment to promoting a diverse range of perspectives, Sequoia Johnson is a rising star in the art world. She is inspired to create exhibits that will engage, inspire artists, and raise the awareness of art education in the community.
